A group of young pupils at the Henrietta Barnett School have received the Disney Award for Creativity as part of the Young Enterprise Company of the Year Awards, 2016.
The awards are part of the Young Enterprise Company Programme which gives 15-19 year olds the challenge of setting up their own business and running it over the course of one academic year.
Pupils from Henrietta Barnett were one of five teams competing in the London Final being held at Citigroup last week, having been shortlisted from entrants from all across the city.
Team Wander from Henrietta Barnett won the award for their product, CLARIS, which acts as an amplifier to project powerful sounds without the use of technology.
Since the Young Enterprise Company setup the programme, over one million businesses have been established. The initiative’s key goal is to ensure young students are equipped with the essential skills which will prepare them for future employment when they leave education.
