In recent weeks and months, concern about climate change has been growing to unprecedented levels. Climate protests and large lobbies at Parliament have energised the public debate. I fully recognise the importance and urgency to act. 

TfL to act on tube noise

Many constituents will spend some of their time on the Northern Line to either commute to work, or head into central London. However, many people will be aware that in numerous places across the line, it can be unbearably noisy.

Mike hosts Finchley Church End residents for Meet The Street

Yesterday, Mike held another of his regular 'Meet the Street' evenings in Parliament. The purpose of these events is to allow constituents the opportunity of engaging with their local Member of Parliament and to experience a tour of some of the highlights of the Palace of Westminster.

Introduction of a 20mph zone on Squires Lane

Back in April, I was made aware by LBB and TfL of the imminent introduction of a 20mph limit zone for vehicles travelling on Squires Lane from the junctions with Station Road and Rosemary Avenue over the bridge and onward to the A1000 High Road.

Mike welcomes supporters of North London Hospice to Westminster

Last week, Mike Freer hosted a reception in the Jubilee Room with supporters of the North London Hospice. This was followed a tour led by Mike around some of the highlights of the Palace of Westminster including Westminster Hall, St Stephens Hall and Central Lobby. 

Today's Brexit vote in Parliament

Today, there will be a vote in parliament on an Opposition Day motion to change parliamentary procedure, to allow the Commons to take control of the procedures relating to all matters regarding the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the EU. 

Mike opens JVS’s Jewish Vegan Centre

Mike has today opened the Jewish Vegan Society’s newly renovated community centre in Golders Green. The Garden was transformed into a Forest School, which hosted tutorials on creating a bee hotel, how to attract and help wildlife, as well as how to grow your own food and make compost.

Visit to The Courtyard School

As part of my campaign to improve support for people with Autism, I visited The Courtyard School in Islington to see how they approach the education of students with autism.
