Mike Freer MP recently welcomed the Etchingham Friends community group to Parliament in recognition of their excellent work in raising funds for Victoria Park. Etchingham Friends raised £6,000 over the space of a year which allowed for 18 trees to be planted in the Park’s grounds.
Mike Freer commented “It’s only right that the work of a community who have taken the initiative and invested time and effort in their local community is recognised. Etchingham Friends can be rightly proud of their efforts which will be enjoyed for many generations to come”.
A variety of species were purchased with the funds and local residents were invited along to help with the planting.
