Finchley and Golders Green MP, Mike Freer, last week accompanied the Prime Minister on his official visit to Israel and the Palestinian Territories. The Prime Minister addressed the Israeli Knesset as well as visiting the Yad Vashem holocaust memorial and research centre.
Speaking after the visit, Mr Freer commented “there are very strong ties between Israel and my constituency which is why I was delighted to accompany the Prime Minister on his first official visit. I hope that some of the Prime Minister’s interventions on issues such as shechita will be reassuring to my constituents”.
Mike Freer was joined by Hendon MP Matthew Offord, Hertsmere MP James Clappison, Enfield Southgate MP David Burrowes and Ilford North MP Lee Scott.
