I had been made aware by constituents of the lack of seating at the bus stop at Finchley Memorial Hospital on the 383 route. I quite agree that it seems peculiar that there isn’t a place to sit, given that many patients wanting to use the bus will be elderly and/or have mobility issues and require a place to sit.
I have been in contact with TfL and have encouraged them to build a new seated bus shelter outside of the hospital. I am pleased to say that TfL have now begun the funding process to build this new bus shelter. TfL and the Estates Team from FMH are currently in the process of choosing a site. It is hoped that an unused Bike stand, less than 25 metres away from the original bus stop, will be chosen as the new location.
This is brilliant news for those who travel by bus on the 383 to and from FMH. I will be able to update constituents once I have further news.
