I am pleased to inform constituents that the London Borough of Barnet has been chosen as one of nine local authorities successful in securing funding from the Local EV Infrastructure (LEVI) Fund Pilot. Barnet will receive £1,650,000 from the £10m fund, with the project delivering 100 public electric vehicle (EV) chargepoints and related infrastructure across the borough. This will support the equitable rollout of EV charging infrastructure, particularly for those households without off-street parking. I believe that this is fantastic news for electric car users in our constituency. It will also help with the transition to electric vehicles, reduce harmful emissions, and support green jobs across our constituency and the UK. Please find further details in the letter from Trudy Harrison MP, Minister of State for Transport.
