The Health Secretary has this afternoon announced that Greater London will move into Tier 3 restrictions from Wednesday morning. This swift and decisive action is necessary to prevent the spread as a result of very sharp, exponential rises in the transmission of the virus.
This means that you must not meet socially indoors or in most outdoor places with anybody you do not live with, including in private gardens and most outdoor venues. You also must not socialise in a group of more than 6 in some other outdoor public spaces, such as parks.
As part of tier 3 restrictions, hospitality settings such as bars, pubs, cafes and restaurant will have to close, along with indoor entertainment and tourist venues.
