Pupils from schools in Finchley and Golders Green were invited to attend a ‘Summer School’ by Mike Freer MP which took place in July. Two four day programmes were run, giving pupils an invaluable insight into the work of an MP.
The students, who all reside in the Mike Freer’s constituency, spent two days in Westminster, as well as two in Finchley. They were asked to perform a number of tasks, such as taking part in mock debates, as well as surveying residents on local issues.
Mike Freer comments “The students were fantastic. It was a pleasure to show them round Parliament and host them in Finchley. I hope to stay in contact and I wouldn’t be surprised to see some in politics in the future!”
