Yesterday, Mike held another of his regular 'Meet the Street' evenings in Parliament. The purpose of these events is to allow constituents the opportunity of engaging with their local Member of Parliament and to experience a tour of the Palace of Westminster, something that remarkably few people Mike meets have been able to do, despite the Palace being free and open to the public.
This time, Mike hosted members of the Somali Bravanese community. The event included a reception with refreshments in the Jubilee Room, followed by a tour of some of the highlights of the Palace such as Westminster Hall, Central Lobby and the Commons Chamber.
