Today marks the beginning of Passover, as Jewish families around the world come together at the Seder table to tell the story of their ancestors’ deliverance from slavery. Passover commemorates the emancipation of the Jewish people, and is a joyous occasion on which to come together to celebrate freedom, which we must never take for granted.
Here in the UK, we can all take this opportunity to celebrate the incredible and enduring contributions made by our Jewish community, in every corner of the country and in every walk of life.
I wish all members of the Jewish community in Finchley & Golders Green a very happy and peaceful Pesach – chag kasher v’sameach.
