Finchley and Golders Green MP, Mike Freer, visited Alma Primary School on the 21st March to see the excellent work of pupils and teachers. The free school, which is in its inaugural year, opened last September.
Mike Freer discussed life as a Member of Parliament and had a question and answer session with pupils who discussed changes they would make if they were Prime Minister. Later, the children showed Mr Freer what they had learnt about road safety, before sharing songs and stories to welcome in Shabbat.
Speaking after the visit, Mike Freer said “Alma Primary is an excellent local school which parents can be proud of. The children had some excellent ideas for new laws which I’m sure the Prime Minister would be interested to hear”!
Alma Primary, headed by Marc Shoffren, is a Primary School catering for Jewish pupils. The school, which is located in North Finchley, opened as part of the Government’s Free Schools Programme. For further information, please visit www.almaprimary.org
