MP for Finchley and Golders Green, Mike Freer, has welcomed a new funding agreement between the Department for Education and the Kisharon Academy Trust to support the Kisharon School – a special needs school with a Jewish ethos for pupils aged 4-19.
The school is in the process of transitioning into a Free School with a new building; this will increase its capacity from 40 pupils at present to 70 with a wider range of facilities.
Commenting, Mike said, “I welcome the Secretary of State’s decision to back the Kisharon School in its change to a Free School. Free Schools have been a very popular and successful policy backed by this Government, driving up educational standards. I know the Kisharon Free School will offer more local young people new opportunities.”
