It has been announced that the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust will receive £4.256 million in funding, spread across four projects to deliver critical maintenance upgrades to buildings for key services, refurbish wards, deliver upgrades to electrical infrastructure, improvements to ventilation systems and works to improve fire safety and the replacement of hospital lifts. This work is expected to be completed by March 2021.
The Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust will also receive £773,000 across seven projects.
It is part of the £1.5 billion announced at last year’s General Election to invest in the NHS and ensure that NHS staff have world-class facilities to provide care for patients. These crucial projects will deliver immediate benefits and provide NHS staff with the facilities they need, and help our NHS build back better after the pandemic.
