Officials from the Department of Education have written to successful schools today. The money has come from Priority School Building Programme, which is delivering some £17 billion of capital spending on schools, including £5.5 billion on meeting the need for more school places.
Mike Freer MP said, “This is excellent news for Pardes House Primary and I welcome the speed that the Department of Education has dealt with this. I understand the money will be released immediately so work can start as soon as possible.
The Government’s funding helps build on our excellent record in Barnet of upgrading our primary schools, driven through by Barnet Council’s own programme which delivered eight new schools. This focus of education has put our local primary school in England’s top 10%.”
