I am pleased to join with Conservative colleagues from across Barnet to urge London Assembly member, Anne Clarke, to vote against the Mayor of London’s Transport Strategy, which is being voted on at City Hall tomorrow (17th November).
We are strongly opposed to the expansion of the ULEZ to cover the whole of the borough of Barnet. This tax on residents and businesses will mean that those without the means to upgrade their vehicles will have to pay £12.50 per day, at a time where there is anxiety about the cost of living.
The Independent Impact Assessment released alongside the ULEZ consultation indicated that the plan will not deliver the environmental benefits the Mayor Claims.
