Breast screening take-up rate still poor in Barnet

Henlys Corner upgrade work to begin on 18 February

Contractors for Transport for London (TfL) are to begin work on the £8m scheme to improve the notorious North Circular junction.  On the 18 February the building of foundations will begin by the sides of Finchley Road, to the south of the A406.  This first stage is due to begin in early April, with the entire scheme due to be completed by December.

Barnet’s Raw Local Government Funding Deal Exposed

Figures released by the Department of Community and Local Government show how little Government funding Barnet Council receives in comparison to other London local authorities.  Barnet is one of the worst funded Councils in the capital, receiving the joint 5th lowest Government grant per head out of the 32 London Boroughs.   

Call on Iranian President to respect human rights

Henlys Corner improvement gets official go-ahead

Transport for London has today confirmed that the Henlys Corner junction improvement scheme will go ahead as planned.  The upgrade had been placed under review, along with all other TfL projects, until the Government’s spending plans were made clear.

New Alzheimer’s drugs on the NHS welcomed
