Government introduces historic NHS Funding Bill in Parliament

The Government has today introduced a historic NHS Funding Bill to Parliament. This Bill will deliver on the promises we made during last month’s election to give the NHS long-term financial certainty, allowing it to provide the best care possible to patients across the country.

A privilege to be re-elected

I am delighted to have been re-elected as Member of Parliament for Finchley and Golders Green with a majority of 6,562. I wanted to pay a huge thank you for the support shown in me in the General Election.

Dissolution of Parliament

As I am sure you are aware, there will be a general election on the 12th December. As a result, Parliament will dissolve at 12:01am on Wednesday 6th November. At that point, I will cease to be your MP, and revert to being a candidate.

Ravenscroft move no longer going ahead

Barnet Clinical Commissioning Group has today announced that the proposed relocation of Ravenscroft Medical Centre to Finchley Memorial Hospital will no longer go ahead, as one of the parties involved has pulled out.

As I have often said, I have always been against the proposed relocation of Ravenscroft Medical Centre to Finchley Memorial Hospital. I have met with the CCG and other parties on multiple occasions to lobby against the proposals and have committed to taking the matter to Health Ministers. 

NHS agrees deal for cystic fibrosis drugs

Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, has today announced that the NHS has secured a definitive agreement with Vertex Pharmaceuticals to make available all three of their UK-licensed cystic fibrosis medicines. This means that NHS patients will now have full access to Orkambi, Symkevi and Kalydeco.
