Your safety is the most important thing. At this time of year, when we all put our clocks forward, it is also a time of year when we often give would-be burglars a clue that our homes are unoccupied.

Crime Prevention

Among the top priorities that constituents have shared with me about tackling crime locally has been with regard to burglaries. In particular, burglaries were taking place far too regularly around the Hampstead Garden Suburb area.

'Meet the Street'

For residents living in Finchley & Golders Green, Westminster is only a quick tube journey away. However, in my first year as an MP I soon realised of how few constituents had actually ever visited.

Broadband Roll Out

The Government is investing £1.7 billion in broadband roll-out and nine out of every 10 homes and businesses can now access superfast speeds.

Community Relations

Finchley and Golders Green is one of the most diverse parliamentary constituencies, being home to thousands of people of all faiths. I have worked over the last five years with local community leaders of all religions to promote community cohesions amongst all communities.  


Apprenticeships can provide a fantastic opportunity for young people to get on in life and can raise the productivity of the businesses they join. I am pleased there has been over 1,300 apprenticeship starts in our local area and overall we have seen the biggest ever boost with 2 million apprenticeship starts since 2010.

Digital Breast screening unit for Finchley Memorial Hospital

Monday 11 April, 2016, marked a significant step forward in my campaign for a permanent breast screening unit at Finchley Memorial Hospital. In a letter I received from the Chief Executive of the Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust on Monday, I was informed the placement of a purpose built static screening unit had been agreed in principle.
