Apprenticeship & Jobs Fayre

What can you expect at this year's Apprenticeship & Jobs Fayre?

At this year’s Apprenticeship & Jobs Fayre there will be more than 20 stall holders! This includes all three branches of the Armed Forces, a number of local retailers & supermarkets, representatives from Job Centre Plus, Barnet Council and leading apprenticeship professionals.

Attendees will have the opportunity to communicate directly, gain valuable advice from, and network with potential employers all in one space! Whether you’re long-term unemployed; or perhaps you’re looking for a career change; or maybe you’re fresh out of college or sixth form looking for an alternative to university, if any of the above applies to you this event could be the doorway to a number of new and exciting opportunities!

Message from Finchley & Golders Green MP, Mike Freer:

“It is a pleasure to host my 4th annual Apprenticeship & Jobs Fayre at the Green Man Community Centre, East Finchley, on Friday 18th March.

“I started this initiative in 2013 as part of National Apprenticeship Week. I felt through hosting a community event like this, it would bring people together to help those eager to work into employment. By holding the Apprenticeship & Jobs Fayre I believed I would be able to offer those seeking work the opportunity to meet with potential employers directly and get their advice – and perhaps even a job interview on the spot!

“But this event was also about advertising an alternative learning experience through Apprenticeships. Earning while you’re learning has proved to be an excellent route to employment for those people who don’t feel university is suited to them. There will be a number of employers & apprenticeship professionals who will be able to offer advice on apprenticeships on the day.

“The Apprenticeship & Jobs Fayre has been a success in previous years and I am certain this year will be no exception. I would like to thank the staff at the Green Man Community Centre for their assistance and support.

“I look forward to seeing you there on the day.”
