'Snap' Election Called for June 8

Mike Freer, MP for Finchley & Golders Green, has expressed his support for the Prime Minister’s decision to call a General Election on June 8, 2017.

Commenting on the surprise announcement this morning Mr Freer said:

MP Studies Designs for UK’s National Holocaust Memorial

It is now over a year since former Prime Minister, David Cameron, announced plans for a National Holocaust Memorial to be built outside of Parliament.

The exact location of the new memorial will be in Victoria Tower Gardens, on the west side of the Parliamentary estate.

ONS: Unemployment Falls & Wages Rise

ONS figures show that the number of people without a job has fallen by 52,000 to 1.6 million.

The figures today show that those claiming unemployment benefit fell by 10,100 in the month leading up to Christmas.
