The Government has provided Barnet Council with a further £6,595,398 of additional funding to help support the local authority address the pressures of the coronavirus pandemic. This means that Barnet has now received over £30 million of extra funding and support. This is part of a package of funding that has seen over £4.6 billion of additional funding provided to local authorities in England since the beginning of the pandemic.
I am pleased that the Government’s next package of additional support for local authorities means that Barnet will receive a further £6.49 million in funding. By supporting Barnet with over £30 million of additional funding from since the beginning of the pandemic, the Government is showing that it is committed to providing our hard-working local authorities with the funding and support they need.
