I am writing to update constituents on the latest information I have received on the project to make Cricklewood Station accessible for all customers.
As constituents may be aware, Cricklewood Station secured funding for investment as part of the Government’s most recent tranche of its Access for All (AfA) scheme. I had received representation from Guide Dogs UK outlining how Cricklewood Station was not accessible for those that are visually impaired. As a result, I lobbied Network Rail and the Train Operating Company (Great Northern and Thameslink) and asked them to make significant changes at Cricklewood Station.
I am pleased to say that since that decision, work has been ongoing to develop the best approach to deliver adaptations to the station that would ensure greater accessibility. The works have been funded and delivered by Network Rail, and the Train Operating Company (Great Northern and Thameslink) will help facilitate the works that are aimed for completion in early 2024.
I believe this is a brilliant project and will make Cricklewood Station more accessible to all passengers.
