Jane Ellison, former Barnet Councillor and MP for Battersea, has taken part in Cancer Research’s ‘race for life’ in memory of Cllr Lynne Hillan.
The ‘race for life’ event in Battersea Park, in Ms Ellison’s constituency, was one of hundreds held all over the country in order to raise money for research into cancer. Runners pin the name of the person they are running in memory or support of.
Speaking from Westminster, Mike Freer MP said, “Mike Freer MP said, “I’m delighted Jane took part in this great event and I am touched that she choose to run in Lynne’s memory. Cancer took our friend and if we are to prevent it from taking more lives we need to raise money for research, which is why these ‘race for life’ around the country are so important.”
