It was a pleasure to welcome residents from Finchley & Golders Green for my eighth Over 55s Advice and Information Fayre at St Paul's Church in Finchley last Friday.
The aim of these Fayres is to offer my over-55 constituents the chance to speak to a wide range of statutory, voluntary, and social activity groups that operate locally, in order to show what they have to offer. Residents had the opportunity to hear from over 30 charities and organisations.
Many constituents who contact me are often unaware of organisations that are available to provide help, information, and opportunities, so it is great to get these organisations together in one place for the benefit of the local community.
I would like to say a huge thank you to these organisations for coming along, as well as for the support they provide to my constituents.
The organisations who attended were:
- Age UK
- Arts Depot
- Barclays
- Barnet Borough Sight Impaired
- Barnet Libraries
- Barnet Walking Football Team
- BOOST
- Cadent Gas
- Centrica
- Citizen’s Advice Barnet
- Department for Work & Pensions
- Diabetes UK – Barnet Group
- Finchley Victoria Bowling & Croquet Club
- Five Bells Computer Club
- Friends of Victoria Park Finchley
- Home Instead Senior Care
