Yesterday, Mike held another of his regular 'Meet the Street' evenings in Parliament. The purpose of these events is to allow constituents the opportunity of engaging with their local Member of Parliament and to experience a tour of the Palace of Westminster, something that remarkably few people Mike meets have been able to do, despite the Palace being free and open to the public.
This time, Mike hosted residents of Hampstead Garden Suburb. The event included a drinks reception in the Jubilee Room, followed by a tour of some of the highlights of the Palace such as Westminster Hall, Central Lobby, and the Commons Chamber.
This latest Meet the Street evening follows on from recent events hosted by Mike for the local clergy, Rabbonim, the Somali Bravanese community, and residents of Golders Green.
Mike sends out invitation letters to houses on several streets at a time for each event, so please look out for this in your post!
