I’d like to take this opportunity to remind my constituents that if they would like to take advantage of the Government’s existing 30 hours of childcare offer, they have until 31st August to claim for this.
Constituent may be able to get 30 hours of free childcare per week for 38 weeks of the year (during school term time), or, alternatively, they may be able to get free childcare for 52 weeks if they use fewer than 30 hours per week.
Constituent can get 30 hours free childcare if:
- they live in England
- their child is 3 to 4 years old
Eligibility also depends on:
- if you’re working (employed, self-employed, or both)
- your income (and your partner’s income, if you have one)
- your child’s age and circumstances
- your immigration status
Further information on eligibility can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/30-hours-free-childcare
