Following feedback received at the public consultation in June 2019, Transport for London has now revised their plans and will be holding a further public consultation to unveil these plans and seek the views of local residents.
As residents will know, my views on the previous TfL plans were that it was a huge over-development of the site that was not in keeping with the local area. The 27-storey tower block was far too tall compared to buildings in the surrounding area. I also had concerns regarding the complete loss of commuter traffic, and the lack on residential parking in the suburban area.
Unfortunately, I do not currently have any details on what the revised plans will look like, but I would encourage residents to attend and give their views. I welcome the revision of the plans from TfL, and sincerely hope they have taken the thoughts of residents into account.
The consultation will be taking place at Stephens House, East End Road on the following days:
- Sunday 19 January 2020 – 12.00 – 16.00
- Tuesday 21 January 2020 – 14.00-20.00
- Wednesday 22 January 2020 - 14.00-20.00
I will continue to update my website with any further information I receive.
