As the Government announced just before Christmas, there is a new set of business support grants aimed at helping businesses get through the impacts of the Omicron variant.
Barnet Council has now announced their schemes, which you can see below:
Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant (OHLG)
- This grant is to support businesses in the hospitality, leisure and accommodation sectors.
- Grants up to £6,000 will be available to businesses. How much you can be applied for is based on rateable value.
- Businesses can apply for a grant if they are responsible for Business Rates and have a Business Rates account number. They must meet the application criteria for hospitality, leisure and accommodation sectors, and how the business operates.

Omicron Additional Restrictions Grant
- This grant is to support businesses that aren’t eligible for the OHLG, were open and trading on 30 December 2021
- It is for businesses that have been adversely affected by the spread of Omicron.
- This grant will be awarded on a first come first served basis to eligible businesses who have submitted an application and uploaded all required evidence.
